It's been some time sense I last wrote on the blog. first off y'all should check Janae's blog for the trip to the East coast it's: jcbrownfamilytrips.blogspot.com They were even able to go to see the Smithland the home to the Smith side of our family. Catherine and I are still trying to slave away with school and home work. 

Here a copy of Christy's last letter from Brazil:

It´s getting hot here again, I´m glad it rains alot here during the summer because it would be so hot if it didn´t, how  do our missionaries in Ca. survive the summer! I don´t know how the missionaries in Nordeste do Brasil survive, it´s hot year round there, they literaly don´t have winter, only summer!  So when they come here to Santa Catarina it´s really weird for them.  This keyboard isn´t wanting to work right, espeacialy the a key! We made invitations for the English classes and put the time of Sacrament meeting on the invites also and have been passing out alot this past week, we haven´t had anybody come to church yet because of the invites but we´ve met some peolpe that have been taught by the missionaries before.  This past week we met a 15 year old boy that said he had been coming to church and wanted to get baptized but his mother said he was too young and wouldn´t let him but that was about a year ago so maybe she´ll let him now, we visited with him and his grandmother Saturday morning and gave him anothor copy of The Book of Mormon and he was excited, he asked for one because he couldn´t find his copy.  Yesturday he didn´t come to church so we´ll have to go see why this week, Rafeala the girl we taught last week didn´t come either, People forget Sunday morning that they wanted to come to church.  But in our ramo, branch there are members that walk everyweek to church.  Two young boys(ages 16 and 12) walked 1 1/2 hours to get to church and then again to get back after church so that was 3 hours of church and 3 hours of walking, it´s not bad when the weater is nice but it´s really hot after church!!!  In one area they´re going to start a group of members, it won´t be a branch yet but they will hold meetings and have 2 missionaries just for that Bairro (area).  I think we´re going to have more rain here again this week.  Have a great trip all of you!!!

Just for a last note were so great full for the gospel and knowing that Grandpa isn't gone and that we will be able to see him again with Grandma.
